Philip Howarth
CEO

Philip Howarth has a wealth of experience in the finance industry, having worked in the private client arena for the last twenty years. He has held earlier positions with Allied Irish Bank, Investec Private Bank and Coutts & Co, where he gained extensive experience managing the affairs of high net worth clients with a particular emphasis on property and commodity investments.

He holds a Law Degree from Nottingham School of Law, is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Philip is responsible for Berkley’s investment strategy, entering into strategic partnerships, acquisitions and disposal of assets.

Victor Shabanov
Financial Advisor

Mr. Shabanov graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He has over 15 years of experience in investments and financial management as a financial officer at Swiss-based Coalco AG in 1995-2001, and later with a project management company with broad experience in mining and metallurgy.

Mr. Shabanov joined Berkley in 2006. He is responsible for analysis of existing and potential investments, structuring of assets and day-by-day control of current activities of companies which Berkley is invested in.

Ildar Akhmetov
Legal Advisor

Having graduated from Moscow State University in 1996 with a diploma in science of law, Mr. Akhmetov was a lawyer at FBK, an audit and consulting company, where he had financial and tax advice practices, as well as represented in courts.

Mr. Akhmetov joined Berkley in 2004 as a Legal Advisor. In this role he provides all legal and administrative services and is responsible for GR.
